Big Wins at the Underfunded Film Festival

Big Wins at the Underfunded Film Festival

On Monday, June 26th, The Surface was the concluding film of the Underfunded Film Festival where it staggered the fans with its production design, story, and ability to sweep them off their feet.

In the awards ceremony following the screenings, The Surface received awards for Best Student Film, Best Cinematography, and Best Film for Under $25,000. This is the last year of the UFF as it is joining forces with Film Quest Film Festival, where The Surface also screened and was nominated for Best Student Film.

We are continually humbled by how well received the Surface has been, and continue to develop the world and build it into more short films, features, and possibly even a series. If you have any interest in these developments, please join our email list for more personalized updates!

New Hope Film Festival - Official Selection

Wow! It sure has been a bit since we updated our news feed! I've been hard at working on the feature/series version of the surface, but here is are some updates!

The Surface was selected to screen at the New Hope Film Festival which takes place July 22nd-31st in New Hope, Pennsylvania. We will be a part of the student screenings, and will have more details as we are updated. At this stage, they are collecting films and building a schedule, so stay tuned for more information!

At the LDS Film Festival, The Surface took home 3rd place in the short film competition, which we are incredibly proud of. Competing against professional and non-genre pictures in a typically conservative crowd, we performed incredibly well and we excited to take home the bronze prize.

This week, several of our crew members are nominated for awards at the Utah Film Awards, so expect to hear more soon from us!
